Determining sampling sites before field work lowers sampling bias and increases efficiency. The toolbox generates a random starting point on the lake perimeter, then generates additional stations based on the desired distance between sampling sites. The final sequence of sites can be exported to a GPS unit for field navigation. New sampling stations should be created each time the lake is surveyed.
